Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Keeping a close eye on the stock market and the economy in general, Erie County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz, who says the impact in both terms of borrowing and interest rates.
Poloncarz says as interest rates drop, the county doesn't make as much on its investments. He says with bond insurance companies in the thick of it, the cost of borrowing could go up.
Poloncarz says he's more worrid about a possible recession and what impact that would have on sales tax revenues.
