Erie County is collecting greater amounts of money from people on probation, said Comptroller Mark C. Poloncarz, whose office now handles the duty.
Poloncarz says the county this year has averaged $47,000 a month in revenue from the assorted fees charged for electronic monitoring, drug testing and supervision. In June, the office collected $51,000.
In 2006, the monthly average was $20,200, he said.
